About Us

Our founder, Tracey Wang Stuligross, has cherished a dream of bringing Chinese culture and spirit to the world.   In 1997, she started Tracey Wang's Chinese Language and Culture ™ Program in Pittsburgh, teaching Chinese language and culture to families with children from China.   Over many years working with the adoptive families, she has been deeply moved by the families' enthusiasm and desire to search for any possible Chinese resources to learn Chinese culture and keep the Chinese heritage for their adopted children.  She wishes to build a place where the adoptive families and everyone else who are interested in Chinese culture can come explore the culture and shop for Chinese cultural products.  In 2005, HometownChina.com was born.

 

From our extensive and continuously growing collection we make every effort to carefully select products that we feel will offer a truly unique flavor that encompass over 5,000 years of rich cultural heritage in China.

 

In 2008, Hometown China opened it first brick & mortar store at Exton Square Mall in Exton, Pennsylvania.  We hosted our first annual Chinese New Year Celebration at the mall, which is the first cultural event held at the mall since it opened in 1974.  Our "East Meet West--Qingming and Easter Celebration” drew a large crowds at the mall.  

 

In May 2010, we expanded and moved to King of Prussia Mall, the second largest mall in the US. The mall is located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.  We added more line of Asian products, like Fengshui, Jewelry, Kungfu, Asian Kitchen ware, Tea and more.  Please stop by and check us out.  We are sure you will enjoy yourself exploring the Chinese culture from Ancient to modern times at our beautiful store.  Our ongoing culture events will continue all year round.
